Mini-Biography
Allen Alvarado was born in Park Ridge, Illinois, and played "Lex" on the Discovery Kids on NBC series Flight 29 Down (Official Site) which premiered Oct 1. Discovery Kids' publicity says Allen has a knack for overachieving. At the ripe age of four he decided that he wanted to be an actor.
His goal was to be the sidekick of Conan O’Brian on his nightly show. After this realization Allen began to audition for commercials in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois and landed on a national commercial for Ballpark Franks. Since then Allen has appeared in twelve commercials.
Before moving to Los Angeles in 2004, Allen got his first glimpse of a movie set when he appeared in On The Line with Lance Bass and Joey Fatone from NSync. While in Chicago he also appeared in the Chicago Goodman Theater’s presentation of A Christmas Carol, in which he shined as Tiny Tim. "Flight 29 Down" marked Allen’s national television debut. Other appearnces on television includes The Bill Engvall Show, American Dad and Life. Allen also appeared in the made for TV movie Flight 29 Down: The Movie.
Allen also appeared in the 2008 film Lower Learning as 'Miguel' and Cryptic (2009) as Young Damon. He enjoys playing his video games and guitar. He has aspirations of adding musician to his resume as well remaining a force in the acting world.
