Mini-Biography
Anton Yelchin was born 11 March 1989, Leningrad, USSR [now St. Petersburg, Russia]
but immigrated to the USA with his figure skater parents when he was 6 months old.
His first acting appearances were in A Man Is mostly Water in 1999 and as the
featured performer in the made for tv movie Geppetto in 2000.
One of Anton's best film roles was with Anthony Hopkins in Hearts in Atlantis, where he
played the role of Bobby Garfield. He won a Young Artist Award for his performance
in this film. Before that he played Dimitry in Along Came a Spider and had a
small role in 15 Minutes, he was the little boy in the burning building.
On tv he was featured in the tv movie Geppetto, and made a guest appearance on
every child stars fav guest spot, ER. He also guested on Judging Amy and On Nov 17 2002
appeared in the excellent ABC Drama The Practice.
Anton was outstanding in the role of Jacon Clarke in the mini-series Taken he plays Jacob Clarke. Also on television he starred in the movies Jack and Huff and made a guest appearance on Curb Your Enthusiasm, as well as the tv series version of Huff. Anton also for 2004 appeared in the films House of D as well as Fierce People and also Alpha Dog.
Anton also appeared in Charlie Bartlett a 2007 release he plays the title character. and for 2008 watch for him in Finding t.A.T.u., Middle of Nowhere and Star Trek where he plays the young Pavel Chekov as the film looks at their star fleet academy days.
