Austin MacDonald
Austin started acting when he was about nine in commercials and wasted no time making the jump into the film & television. Austin now plays Auzzie in the new Family Channel (www.family.ca) series "DEBRA!" Austin also has a recurring role as Andy Jacobs in the TV series "Life with Boys" on YTV/Nick starring Madison Pettis. He also has a principal role on the television series “Living in Your Car”, season 2 starts to air on TMN/HBO October 24th. Austin just finished filming another episode of "The Rick Mercer Report" and did a guest starring role in a new Teletoon/cartoon Network show called "Mudpit" and TMN/HBO’s show "Single White Spenny". He has also appeared in "Doddlebops", "The Ron James Show" and "Little Mosque on the Prairie." Austin's feature credits include "Kit Kittredge: An American Girl", "Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer" and the "Roxy Hunter" series of movies, Austin has worked with Dennis Lee on a project called "Jesus Henry Christ" with Michael Sheen and Toni Collette.

This summer Austin was a judge at the St Mary’s "So you think you have talent" with Katie Clark owner of Operation underground from the show Disband and Celebrity Tim Deegan. He presented at the YMA Awards (youth & media) Austin had a great time at the launch of Disney’s XD channel here in Canada with cast members of "Wingin It", "Zeke & Luther" "DEBRA!" "Majority Rules", "Life with Derek" just to name a few. In late June Austin attended the MIFF film festival (www.miff.ca) and got the opportunity to again present an award to a winner of one of the film categories.

Most recently Austin has done interviews for several magazines, "Muskoka Today" and "Limelight Magazine". He has also a really great one about bullying coming out in December in "Our Canada" magazine. In "Our Canada" he also gets a chance to talk a bit about his work with Blessings in a Backpack. He is helping to get awareness of the program out there and still collecting backpacks and helping to get donations to pay for the food to fill the backpacks.
