During a sweltering summer in New York City, 13-year-old Mister’s (Skylan Brooks) hard-living mother (Jennifer Hudson) is apprehended by the police, leaving the boy and nine-year-old Pete (Ethan Dizon) alone to forage for food while dodging Child Protective Services and the destructive scenarios of the Brooklyn projects. Faced with more than any child can be expected to bear, the resourceful Mister nevertheless feels he is an unstoppable force against seemingly unmovable obstacles. But what really keeps the pair in the survival game is much more Mister’s vulnerability than his larger-than-life attitude. THE INEVITABLE DEFEAT OF MISTER & PETE is a beautifully observed and tremendously moving film about salvation through friendship and the way transformation sometimes can happen just by holding on long enough. Director George Tillman, Jr. draws indelible performances from a fantastic cast, which includes Jordin Sparks, Golden Globe® and Primetime Emmy® Award winner Jeffrey Wright, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Anthony Mackie, and Golden Globe® and Academy Award® winner Jennifer Hudson (Supporting Actress, Dreamgirls, 2006), all led by Skylan Brooks and Ethan Dizon in stunning breakout performances as Mister and Pete. The film also features new music by Alicia Keys. Codeblack Films and Lionsgate present an iDeal Partners / State Street production in association with Floren Shieh Productions / Archer Gray Productions / Cherry Sky Films / AKW Productions. Romeo and Juliet, William Shakespeare’s epic and searing tale of love, is revitalized on screen by writer Julian Fellowes (Downton Abbey) and director Carlos Carlei (The Flight of the Innocent). An ageless story from the world’s most renowned author is reimagined for the 21st Century. This adaptation is told in the lush traditional setting it was written, but gives a new generation the chance to fall in love with the enduring legend. With an all-star cast including Hailee Steinfeld, Douglas Booth, Paul Giamatti and Stellan Skarsgard, it affords those unfamiliar with the tale the chance to put faces to the two names they’ve undoubtedly heard innumerable times: Romeo and Juliet. Every generation deserves to discover this lasting love. Photo - Hailee Steinfeld and Douglas Booth star in “ROMEO AND JULIET”. ©2013 R & J Releasing, Ltd. Kevin Hart and Ice Cube lead the lineup in Ride Along, the new film from the director and the producer of the blockbuster comedy Think Like a Man. When a fast-talking guy joins his girlfriend’s brother—a hot-tempered cop—to patrol the streets of Atlanta, he gets entangled in the officer’s latest case. Now, in order to prove that he deserves his future bride, he must survive the most insane 24 hours of his life. For the past two years, high-school security guard Ben (Hart) has been trying to show decorated APD detective James (Cube) that he’s more than just a video-game junkie who’s unworthy of James’ sister, Angela (Tika Sumpter). When Ben finally gets accepted into the academy, he thinks he’s earned the seasoned policeman’s respect and asks for his blessing to marry Angela. Knowing that a ride along will demonstrate if Ben has what it takes to take care of his sister, James invites him on a shift designed to scare the hell out of the trainee. But when the wild night leads them to the most notorious criminal in the city, James will find that his new partner’s rapid-fire mouth is just as dangerous as the bullets speeding at it. John Leguizamo and Laurence Fishburne join the cast of the action-comedy directed by Tim Story. Ride Along is produced by Will Packer (Think Like a Man), alongside Ice Cube, Matt Alvarez (Barbershop) and Larry Brezner (Good Morning, Vietnam). www.ridealong.net   Genre: Action-comedy Cast: Ice Cube, Kevin Hart, John Leguizamo, Bruce McGill, Tika Sumpter, Bryan Callen and Laurence Fishburne Directed by: Tim Story Screenplay by: Greg Coolidge and Jason Mantzoukas and Phil Hay & Matt Manfredi Story by: Greg Coolidge Produced by: Will Packer, Ice Cube, Matt Alvarez, Larry Brezner Executive Producers: Nicolas Stern, Ron Muhammad, Chris Bender, JC Spink

Riddick, the latest chapter of the groundbreaking saga that began with 2000’s hit sci-fi film Pitch Black and 2004’s The Chronicles of Riddick reunites writer/director David Twohy (A Perfect Getaway, The Fugitive) and star Vin Diesel (the Fast and Furious franchise, xXx). Diesel reprises his role as the antihero Riddick, a dangerous, escaped convict wanted by every bounty hunter in the known galaxy. The infamous Riddick has been left for dead on a sun-scorched planet that appears to be lifeless. Soon, however, he finds himself fighting for survival against alien predators more lethal than any human he’s encountered. The only way off is for Riddick to activate an emergency beacon and alert mercenaries who rapidly descend to the planet in search of their bounty. The first ship to arrive carries a new breed of merc, more lethal and violent, while the second is captained by a man whose pursuit of Riddick is more personal. With time running out and a storm on the horizon that no one could survive, his hunters won’t leave the planet without Riddick’s head as their trophy.   Genre:  Epic action-adventure      Cast:  Vin Diesel, Karl Urban, Jordi Mollà, Matt Nable,   Katee Sackhoff, Dave Bautista, Bokeem Woodbine,   Raoul Trujillo, Nolan Gerard Funk Directed by:  David Twohy  Written by: David Twohy Based on Characters   Created by:  Jim & Ken Wheat Produced by:  Vin Diesel, Ted Field Executive Producers: Samantha Vincent, Mike Drake, George Zakk www.riddickmovie.com Watch Trailer  RIDDICK                                                                            September 6, 2013

It looks like One Direction has done it again. Two smash albums in just two years, books, movies, sold out world tours, and the constant adoration of their fans, the “Directioners”. This group has taken the world by storm and everybody knows it. Even if you’re not a fan, you cannot deny the way that clever marketing, social media, and a great look has propelled this music sensation not only to the top of the UK music charts but to the whole world in general. They won all 3 of their nominations in MTV’s music awards as well as having two out of the top five albums in the US in the same year. No modern group has done that in the Nielsen era. Their books have made it to the NY Times bestseller list and now they threaten to outdo even themselves with the trailer for their latest movie, 1D3D having just been released. This could easily be the best year yet for One Direction and it’s only February.  Since their creation at the hands of Simon Cowell, One Direction has had only one direction, straight to the top. They were formed from Simon’s show X-factor in which the boys failed the singles auditions but looked promising as a group. Thus the concept was born. Since that moment, the boys have been unstoppable. Their two world tours, 10 million and counting Twitter followers, and the fact that everything they touch seems to turn into platinum attest to their success. With the release of their latest project, 1D3D, they will manage to make yet another success.  The movie is much like the last film they did “Up All Night: The Live Tour” and fans will again be delighted with the level of access they get to the group. Not only will there be the live concerts you would expect, there are the many candid moments of the boys simply being boys. Candid moments in the bathroom, pranks, and the fun moments the group has while on tour. There are also the rumors of a soundtrack being released for the movie which could include material not yet heard by the fans. The movie gives its fans what they want, a behind the scenes look at One Direction in a way that only they see themselves. This movie should easily surpass their last one and possibly become the best selling concert movie of all time. With the possibility of new songs being released for the movie, this could make 2013 an even bigger year for the group. What could possibly be better than a smash hit in the box office, possibilities for another top 5 album, and the continued adoration from their fans still shows that this group still has only one direction, straight up.

Kirsten Dunst (Spider-Man, Melancholia) and Jim Sturgess (Cloud Atlas, Across the Universe) star in Upside Down, an interplanetary dystopian romance about a young man’s search for the long-lost girl of his dreams. Written and directed by award-winning filmmaker Juan Solanas and set in twinned worlds with opposite gravities, the film puts an eye-popping, original twist on the classic tale of forbidden love. Lovers Adam (Sturgess) and Eden (Dunst) are separated not just by social class and a political system bent on keeping them apart, but also by a freak planetary condition: they live on twinned worlds with gravities that pull in opposite directions—he on the poverty-stricken planet below, she on the wealthy, exploitative world above. The planets are so close that their highest mountain peaks almost touch. That’s where Adam and Eden first meet as children. And later, as teens, where he pulls her down to his world by a rope to cavort in dual-gravity bliss (visiting the other planet does not release a person from the gravitational pull of their native planet). But when interplanetary border-patrol agents attack them, Eden falls back to her world—apparently dead. Ten years later, Adam learns that Eden is alive and working at TransWorld—a vast corporation whose towering headquarters is the only structure that connects the planets—and the only legal means of passing between them. In a desperate attempt to find her, Adam gets a job at TransWorld developing a revolutionary face-lift cream based on a secret, gravity-neutralizing ingredient that has been passed down for generations in his family. From his lower-world cubicle, he quickly sets about infiltrating the upper-world executive suites to reconnect with Eden. And so begins a quest fraught with dangers and challenges—from having to woo Eden all over again because of the memory loss she suffered in the fall, to fleeing authorities through a topsy-turvy realm where up is sometimes down and down is sometimes up. Upside Down is a visually stunning romantic adventure that asks the question: what if love was stronger than gravity?   Upside Down - (Millennium Entertainment) - Release: 03/15/2013 Watch Trailer HD
