Recently it has been announced that “Anne With an E” will be back on Netflix and CBC for a second season and besides the cast there could be none happier than the fans of this excellent adaption of the much loved classic. Canadian teen actor Christian Martyn will be back for a second season playing Billy Andrews a kid who seems to enjoy making life difficult for Anne. Christian has been acting since the age of 8 and has starred in many feature films with the likes of Ray Liotta, Christopher Lloyd (Snowmen), Malcolm MacDowell (Home Alone: The Holiday Heist), Brendan Fraser (Breakout), Billy Baldwin (Be My Valentine), Rob Lowe (Too Late to Say Goodbye) and Scott Speedman (Edwin Boyd: Citizen Gangster), just to name a few. We got Christian to take some time out from his busy schedule to answer some questions about the show and his personal faves. Check it out!   TSO: What is your favorite sport to watch and to play if different? CHRISTIAN MARTYN: Favorite sport to watch is football, to play is surfing and snowboarding. TSO: What is your all time fav Movie? CHRISTIAN MARTYN: I don't have a favorite movie, but I really liked The Departed. TSO: What TV show you never miss? CHRISTIAN MARTYN: I never miss watching Game of Thrones or Westworld. TSO: Of all the roles you have played in the past, which is your favorite and why? CHRISTIAN MARTYN: I don't have a favorite role, as they've all been pretty similar.  I enjoy the specific moments, and just love to be on set no matter the role. TSO: Your role of Billy on Anne is a lot different than roles you have played so far being that of a bully so how did you prepare for it? CHRISTIAN MARTYN: Billy is still a typical teenager, and in all of my roles I've been a pretty typical kid, so no real difference in preparation.  I do make a point of apologizing a lot to the people I have to be mean to on set, lol. TSO: Do you have any pets? CHRISTIAN MARTYN: I have cats, but I really want a dog. TSO: In photos we have seen it appears that the young cast of Anne all get along very well on the set how much fun is it filming? CHRISTIAN MARTYN: Yes, we all get along on Anne, but I'm the oldest of the kids.  Some of the kids are 5 years younger than me, so the age difference is often noticeable.  But we spend a lot of time together and make a lot of jokes, and it's definitely more fun to have a lot of young people around on set with me.  I've filmed on sets where I'm the only kid, so that can sometimes be boring, since there's a lot of hanging around and waiting. TSO: What is your most prized possession? CHRISTIAN MARTYN: My most prized possession are my memories. TSO: What do you like to do in your spare time? CHRISTIAN MARTYN: In my spare time, I go to the gym and like to watch You Tube videos.  With football, homework, acting and my job at The Keg, I don't have a lot of spare time! TSO: What place in the world you really want to visit? CHRISTIAN MARTYN: I want to travel everywhere, but I really love the mountains and want to see Alaska, especially the Aurora Borealis.  But I want to travel with someone who's worth travelling with. TSO: What is your dream car? CHRISTIAN MARTYN: My dream car is a Nissan GTR TSO: People would be surprised that I am …………? CHRISTIAN MARTYN: People would be surprised that I'm a gym rat (and that I have my black belt in karate). TSO: Must song on your device playlist? CHRISTIAN MARTYN: Two must have songs: Idfc by blackbear and Jocelyn Flores by XXXTENTACION. TSO: You have played a variety of roles so far in your young career, what kind of roles do you prefer? CHRISTIAN MARTYN: I prefer roles that are unique and interesting, not where I'm just a typical kid. TSO: Which of your characters so far was the toughest for you to change into? CHRISTIAN MARTYN: No particular role.  It's hard to feel another person's emotion, so anything emotional is the most difficult in any role. TSO: What do you enjoy most about being an actor? CHRISTIAN MARTYN: I love the psychology behind understanding another person's emotion, and why their character is the way he is.  I love that acting makes me think about this. TSO: We know the good thing that comes with being a teen actor what is the toughest? CHRISTIAN MARTYN: The toughest part of acting is all of the time constraints and other things that I'm not able to do as a result. TSO: What role would you love to play/ be your dream role? CHRISTIAN MARTYN: I would love to play either an insane person or a comic. TSO: You always look so great how do you stay in shape...what’s your secret? CHRISTIAN MARTYN: As I mentioned , I'm a gym rat, plus a healthy eating fanatic.  A lot of the You Tube videos I listen to are about healthy eating and fitness.  I go through periods in my diet and gym routine where I'm bulking (through the winter) and where I’m' cutting (in the spring).  I also use a few supplements, but they're all legal, lol! TSO: Do you have a fav charity? CHRISTIAN MARTYN: We foster pregnant cats/cats and kittens with a charity called Ninth Life Cat Rescue, and have been volunteering with them for over 8 years. We also sponsor a child through World Vision, and I have done a lot of personal fund raising for World Vision. TSO: What advice would you give to a child or teen looking to get into acting? CHRISTIAN MARTYN: Make sure acting is what you REALLY want to do.  It's not as glamorous as you think it's going to be, and it's very long hours.   Once again thanks to Christian Martyn for his time, to connect further with Christian be sure to check him out at  Facebook, Twitter and Instagram

When you mention Mara Wilson most that were kids at the time or have seen it in later years either via video or TV will remember her as the title character from Matilda the big screen adaptation of the much-loved Roald Dahl novel directed by Danny DeVito, or the earlier Mrs. Doubtfire. Well the title of this series whatever happened to does to apply as much to Mara who by all accounts seem to be doing well and quite happy with what she is doing since quitting acting after filming Thomas and the Magic Railroad which was released in the year 2000. Mara was indeed a successful child actor at the time, she was first spotted by most in the hit "Mrs. Doubtfire" which is a personal favorite of mine, she then went on to Miracle on 34th Street with some TV work between on the series "Melrose Place" as Nikki Petrova. She then went on to "Matilda" another film that I enjoyed and many today continue to enjoy its entertainment value by DVD or TV viewings. Mara then filmed A Simple Wish which has since been renamed to (The Fairygodmother) and again another highly enjoyable family film enjoyed by many. Three years later after "Thomas and the Magic Railroad" which failed at the box-office in the USA but had more success overseas. Mara Wilson in the short time has left a body of work that is still enjoyed today by many and her decision to walk away seemed to be her own as he decided to focus on school and enjoy her teenage years. It’s reported that in June 2005 she graduated from Idyllwild School of Music & Arts and went on to attend New York University. In 2008 she wrote and performed the one woman play, "Weren't You That Girl". Tit ran for three days and detailed her life and how others treated her because of her days as a child star. Mara lives the quiet life in NYC and Writes plays, fiction and non-fiction, and maintains a blog. Seems to be doing quite well thank you and any here that has not seen any of the mentioned titles then I recommend giving them a watch, especially “Matilda.” For a better explanation on why she quit acting, then hear it from Mara herself from this posting on her blog.   Mara Wilson in a more recent photo.

It is now day four since he had been bitten on the left arm by one of them, those unholy walking dead creatures. It is also now over three years since all things went to hell and the dead started to walk again and seek the flesh of humans. Four days ago they were set upon suddenly by two of them and in the fight he was bitten on the arm, he immediately thought it was the end of him and he almost put a bullet in his brain, he decided to wait, he did not get a fever and now four days later the bite has started to heal. The rest of the group still keeping a distance watches him suspiciously, still ready for anything. “look, it has been 4 days and I am not sick no fever, nothing, I am either immune or something has changed and mutated over the years.” The dead had also mutated from walking rotting flesh to now something that more closely resembles a demon, we call those mutated ones hybrids. They no longer are rotting flesh but seem to be a completely diff creature, something from one of the many horror films he used to watch when there was movies, electricity and a movie industry, but that is all gone. The group now had to shify there weariness from Michael because coming through the forest was that now familiar groan as a pack of the dead seem to be heading directly towards them……….. There are many great looking video games we played so far in 2017, and more games are coming out soon. There are many North American releases, but Japan is not left behind in the competition of releasing great video games. You will be shocked to read that most hotly anticipated games are Japanese this year. Well, here is a list of most important and the best video games currently announced for a 2017 release. Take a look and let me know which one you want to buy. Arms Arms is actually a boxing game and released by Nintendo. This game uses both motion controls and button. Boxers have boxing gloves and spring arms. It looks different, and Nintendo makes what we can expect from them. A good game. Divinity: Originals Sin 2 This version of the game is the follow up to the original divinity. Original sin was the one of the most clever role-playing and charming game ever to come out in years. In this version, they expand everything that made the original so great with good graphics, a bigger world, and other good choices. You will not want to stop playing this game once you get started. Fire Emblem Echoes This game is the reimage of the second Fire Emblem game (Fire Emblem Gaiden). This version is launched in 3DS surprisingly after the launch of the Fire Emblem Fates last year. It is not that we complaining about that because the more they release Fire Emblem the more is better for their users. Flame in the Flood A good story game in which a girl with her dog survive in a roguelike wasteland by raft, looking around for resources, setting up camp, and escaping predators like huge bears. A good trailer release for the PS4, hope that this will rock the world. For Honor This game is released by the Ubisoft. In this game, the knights, samurai, and Vikings do glorious battles. This game is for those people who to play fighting games like MOBA. The game is released in Alpha. You will have to wait some more to play beta version and full version. Great concept game, we will see reviews later that how satisfying the combat ends up. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Breath of the wild is one of the best anticipated titles of this year. The game is coming to both the brand new Nintendo Switch and to the Wii U. Moreover, this game borrows some of the art styles of Wind Waker. This game is awesome as it makes other changes as well including stat-based weapons. There are more games released in 2017 such as Taken 7, Super Mario Odyssey, Shards of Darkness, Star Citizen, South Park: The Fractured But Whole, Rime, Resident Evil 7, and Red Dead Redemption 2. Game lovers are going to love this year because so much they have seen so far and going to enjoy more. Do play the games I mention, these are some of the best of this year.  Check out my Game club.

After four seasons and 101 episodes Disney Channel ended production of the hit series "Jessie." There will still be plenty to see of the young leads in spinoff series "Bunk"d," the show is toplined by original series’ stars Peyton List, Karan Brar and Skai Jackson who will reprise their roles as of Emma, Ravi and Zuri Ross, respectively. Meanwhile the popular Cameron Boyce was off to headline Disney XD’s new live-action comedy, “Gamer’s Guide to Pretty Much Everything.” Looking back over the four seasons Jessie has been bringing entertainment into the homes of Disney channel viewers. The show is full of antics and humor good for the entire family. The setting is in New York City where a small town girl, Debby Ryan who plays Jessie, comes from Texas to be the nanny of a high profile couple. The couple has 4 children who bring an array of personality into the mix. The oldest of the 4 children, Emma, played by Peyton List, is the only biological child of Ross family. The younger three are adopted from various areas of the world as well as from far different backgrounds. Luke Ross, who is played by Cameron Boyce, was born in Detroit. Ravi Ross, played by Karan Brar, was born in India and is the newest to the Ross family. Zuri Ross, played by Skai Jackson, is the families’ most sassy member adding lots of fun to the mix. The parents, Morgan and Christina Ross, make very few appearances throughout the series. Nanny Jessie and Butler Bertram end up being the primary caretakers of this exciting brood. You can often find Jessie lecturing the parents about spending more time with their children. She is a bit outspoken, which at first the family doesn’t care too much for. However, it grows on them and each new episode Jessie seems to bring the family closer together. You can also find the family chasing after Mrs. Kipling throughout most of the episodes; Mrs. Kipling is Ravi’s pet Asian water monitor lizard. From episode to episode, you watch Jessie and the family grow as new people. Jessie becomes more confident and able to handle city life, while offering a bit of country to those around here. Bringing in a bit of country allows the Ross family to slow down and really focus on what matters, which is each other. Jessie makes many mistakes along the way and their love for her keeps them from being too hard on her, and she gives the love right back. The best thing about the family is their love for one another. Even if they are busy cracking jokes on each other, or too busy to spend time with one another, when they are all together, it is as though they’ve never been apart. Part of their celebration as a family is celebrating “Gotcha Day.” This is the anniversary of each of the child’s adoption day. They celebrate it much like a birthday and the parents roll out the red carpet and retell their story of adoption each year. While things look like they may be a little crazy during each episode, there is always a lesson viewers can take away from it. With witty humor from both the adults and the children, all family members can relate to at least one of the characters in the show. Overall the show provides lessons, love and entertainment to all those who choose to watch the show.

To Cameron with love, I was stuck after just those four words so how was I going to send a full letter? Let me back up it was 4 Months before while at a shopping mall in the Los Angeles are I spotted a cute guy with a face full of freckles walking with a shopping bag from a quick shopping trip. I instantly recognized that it was Cameron Boyce who plays Luke on Disney’s Jessie, how could I not I have never missed a show and I am one of Cameron Boyce biggest fans. My heart pounded and I began to sweat as I looked around and saw that he was alone and shockingly no other teens were in the area so he was not spotted by anyone else. I froze in place, he saw me and a faint smile came across his lips as he recognized my discomfort. I willed my feet to move and mouth to speak as I stepped towards him and said “HI are you Cameron Boyce” I watch your show all the time I am a big fan. He said, “Oh thanks for watching it is fans like you that I really enjoy what I am doing,” Hey” he said “I have sometime would you like to go for a shake in the patio”? I could not believe what I was hearing and I almost mumbled the words as I accepted his invitation and went shaking with excitement as he ordered two shakes and we went to sit down. To be continued..........................                                                                                      Chapter 1 I was asking with excitement and was sure that I must be dreaming but I was not I was here having a milk shale with Cameron Boyce of Jessie fame and nobody around us seem to notice. “Thanks” I nervously said as he sat the shake down in front of me. “So, what is your fav episode of Jessie do you have one”, he said. “Well I really liked the episode when you guys combined with the cast of Good Luck Charlie” I managed to get out nervously. He seemed to sense my nervousness and laughed a little and told me how much fun they had doing that episode and how much fun the cast of both shows had. I sipped nervously at the shake through my straw looking for something to talk about but I simply couldn’t find the words. “So do you live here in L.A” Cameron said. "No I am on vacation here with my family and we are going back to Portland, Oregon in two days." We spend the best part of the next forty-five minutes talking about the movies he had made and about the rest of the cast of Jessie laughing as I had relaxed quite a bit as he really made me felt at ease with his friendly and outgoing manner. He finally said to me that he will have to be leaving but he really had fun as it was a relief to spend some time quietly without a lot of fans noticing and coming for photos and autographs. I wondered if this meant he liked me or was he speaking in general, I felt anger deep inside that I will soon have to leave and a voice in my head kept telling me ask him for his private email or cell, another more sensible voice said to me look do you seriously think he is going to give that 411 to you girl. Lol, you are so silly just enjoy this great luck you just had he will never see you or think of you after he leaves here. I can’t let this opportunity pass me by, he seemed to have a really genuine time relaxing here in the almost an hour we spent together. I tried to convince myself, that just because he is a famous teen star that doesn’t mean he can’t have a girlfriend that is just your ordinary everyday girl. He is about to leave I have to decide now or never and say the words, but wil I make a fool of myself?...............MORE TO COME.

It is a shame there have to be video games like GTA 5, while the game developers claim the game is aimed at adults they very well know that many kids will get this game into their hands. I have heard stories of kids as young as 11 years old being bought this game by their parents, what kind of irresponsible parent would place such a game in the hand of a child? It is bad enough the endless hours they spend playing violent war type games but then we get a GTA with the sex and drugs thrown in with the violence. In my own experience and I am a teen I saw in the mall a parent buying the game for a kid that looked no more than 11 years old and you could see his excitement of wanting to get home as fast as possible and get it in to his video game console. Look as a teen I freely admit to playing the war theme games but I can freely place a barrier between reality and fantasy but I have known many other games kids who are unable to and for this I say the gaming industry is very irresponsible with games such as GTA 5, but then again the real burden should be on parents who provide access to games like this.
