Hi Everyone, I just wanted to let everyone, that is interested, know about my Fundraiser coming up May 6th. I know it's in Denver and not L.A. but if anyone live in the area we would love for you to come. If you can't make it please consider donating. A little goes a long way in Uganda. This year all the proceeds go to The Kusasira Tuition Program in Seeta, Uganda. We all have heard about Kony and the brutal, violent, horrific man he is and what he and the LRA did to Uganda. The country is now in recovery. That is why I wanted to help the children receive an education. Their education is not free. They have to pay or they don't go to school. They have to wear uniforms and have the additional fees such as books, pencils, etc. Most of you know that their living conditions are so sad. An average family is 9-12 in a one or 2 room mud hut. In order for them to become self-reliant and be able to make changes they need an education. They are very proud people. That is why we want to help with a portion of the tuition.    For more information on the event and/or donating please see my web site at www.givehopeachance.com. Please e-mail me if you have any questions.  PEACE TO ALL OF YOU!! Haidyn

A brilliant and remarkably gifted 12‐year‐old is trained to become Earth’s ultimate military leader in Ender’s Game, the long‐awaited big‐screen adaptation of the classic, Hugo and Nebula Award winning novel. After surviving a devastating attack by the insect‐like Formics, the people of Earth have spent years readying themselves for a repeat attack by nurturing a new generation of child geniuses to be trained as warriors. The planet’s best and brightest youngsters are selected to attend Battle School, an orbiting space station where they compete for a chance to become a commander of the International Forces. Using advanced computer simulations and rigorous game‐like exercises, they train in an atmosphere of violence and intense competition, knowing that only one will be selected to lead. Ender Wiggins (Asa Butterfield) is exceptional, even among his extraordinary classmates. His unique combination of intelligence, empathy, and strategic brilliance makes him a standout in the classroom and in the Battle Room—a zero‐gravity playground where games of futuristic laser tag test the trainees’ strategic and physical abilities. But Ender’s singular gifts inspire envy in his fellow recruits, and the school’s commander, Colonel Hyrum Graff (Harrison Ford), deliberately alienates Ender from the other children in order to hone his individual leadership skills. An outsider at first, Ender, with his preternatural understanding of human nature gradually builds a coalition among his peers, and is soon promoted to command school—located on a distant planet once used by the Formics as a forward staging post for their invasion of Earth. Under the severe tutelage of Mazer Rackham (Ben Kingsley), the brilliant general who defeated the Formics years earlier, Ender is rapidly promoted to lead his fellow students in simulated war games against enemy forces. Certain that another attack by the Formics is imminent, Graff and Rackham believe they have only weeks to ready Ender to lead the International Fleet in a battle for planetary survival. But as the boy prepares to face his final test, he develops gnawing doubts about the monumental task that lies ahead. Is this the best stragefy for achieving peace? Ender’s Game is written for the screen and directed by Gavin Hood (Tsotsi, X‐Men Origins: Wolverine), based on the book titled Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card. It stars Academy Award® nominee Harrison Ford (Witness, Actor in a Leading Role, 1985; Star Wars), Asa Butterfield (Hugo, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas), Academy Award® nominee Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit, Actress in a Supporting Role, 2010), Academy Award® nominee Viola Davis (The Help, Actress in a Leading Role, 2011; Doubt) and Academy Award® nominee Abigail Breslin (Little Miss Sunshine, Actress in a Supporting Role, 2006; Zombieland) and Academy Award® winner Sir Ben Kingsley (Gandhi, Actor in a Leading Role, 1982; Iron Man 3). Ender’s Game is produced by Gigi Pritzker (Drive, The Way, Way Back), Linda McDonough (Rabbit Hole, Drive), Alex Kurtzman (Now You See Me, Star Trek Into Darkness), Roberto Orci (Now You See Me, Star Trek Into Darkness), Robert Chartoff (The Mechanic, Rocky Balboa), Lynn Hendee (The Tempest, My Country), Orson Scott Card and Ed Ulbrich (Oblivion, Tron: Legacy). Today, 1 in 6 American teenagers has permanent hearing loss due to high-volume sounds. Sporting events, concerts, headphones, and hairdryers can damage kids' hearing in a matter of seconds. Noise-induced hearing loss is permanent, but preventable. Listen Carefully is Starkey Hearing Foundation's awareness campaign to spread the message about noise-induced hearing loss and prevent a hearing loss epidemic. Starkey Hearing Foundation is an international nonprofit that gives the gift of hearing to those in need around the world. Last year they donated 175,000 hearing aids in nearly 40 countries, including the United States. Listen Carefully is hosting a national video contest inviting U.S. middle school and high school students (ages 13-18) from across the country to submit PSAs to help educate their peers about the issue. One lucky student(s) will win the chance to have Interscope Grammy-Nominated Recording  artist Aloe Blacc perform a private concert at their school in Spring 2015. Disney star Caroline Sunshine, who suffers from hearing loss, and Chris & Kyle Massey want you to participate. Submissions will be accepted until December 31; voting will take place between January 13 and 31, 2015, with the winner announced in February. You can learn more at: Video Contest

The summer 2017 movie season is on it's way and it is a time for the big blockbusters to explode across our movie screens. Some of them are in release such as Spider-Man reboot and the latest Transformers, these were the good releases. Some of the early releases this summer 2017 have not stirred up much excitement, the best is yet to come so I will take a look at some of the titles to watch for that are in release and coming soon. A Ghost Story A ghost story is an American supernatural drama story that was released on 7 July. The story is based on a dead young man who returns to his old home as a benevolent ghostlike presence trying again and again to connect with his beloved wife. Hope you will like this upcoming movie. Austin Found Looks like a great movie by its trailer. A great story of a woman who is fed up with her lifestyle so she arranges a scheme to make her family instant celebs, then her ex-boyfriend enters the story and kidnapps her 11 years old daughter. The film stars Linda Cardellini and Skeet Ulrich and was released on July 7. Do you Take This Man The story is about two characters named Daniel, and Christopher. Both are very much in love and they are going to marry tomorrow. However, Daniel and Christopher have to rely on their close friends to help them through drama on the evening of their wedding. It stars Jonathan Bennett and Anthony Rapp and was released on July7. SUPERPOWERLESS The movie is going to do a good business in box office. The story is about the superhero who loses his powers shortly after turning forty, and he is must adjust to his new life. The film delayed several times has now be acquired by First Pond Entertainment. Undercover Grandpa Another great movie is going to release this summer where a girl he likes goes missing, Jake enlist the help of his grandpa and his friends from WWII. War for the Planet of the Apes Well, judging from its trailer I can say that this movie is going to be a blockbuster and the fact that the  earlier sequels were hits. In this chapter, Caesar and his other Apes fellows are forced into a deadly area with an army of humans lead by a ruthless Colonel. After suffering a lot of unimaginable losses, the Colonel and Caesar are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the future of the planet. Blind After a vicious car crash, a bestseller novelist Bill Oakland loses his sight and his wife. Suzanne Dutchman who is socialite person is forced to read to Bill in an intimate room as a plea bargain. Granny of the Dead In the horror movie, a guy Ed awakes one morning to find that his Grandma has one of the living dead. Ed somehow struggles to handle the situation, but suddenly he knows that every elderly in the town have also been infected by the zombie plague. Ed has to save his family and friends and become a hero.

A powerful story based on one family's survival of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, The Impossible stars Naomi Watts, Ewan McGregor and Tom Holland and is directed by J.A. Bayona (THE ORPHANAGE).       Maria (Naomi Watts), Henry (Ewan McGregor) and their three sons begin their winter vacation in Thailand, looking forward to a few days in tropical paradise. But on the morning of December 26th, as the family relaxes around the pool after their Christmas festivities the night before, a terrifying roar rises up from the center of the earth. As Maria freezes in fear, a huge wall of black water races across the hotel grounds toward her.      Based on a true story, The Impossible is the unforgettable account of a family caught, with tens of thousands of strangers, in the mayhem of one of the worst natural catastrophes of our time. But the true-life terror is tempered by the unexpected displays of compassion, courage and simple kindness that Maria and her family encounter during the darkest hours of their lives. Both epic and intimate, devastating and uplifting, The Impossible is a journey to the core of the human heart.     Screenplay is by Sergio G. Sanchez (The Orphanage) with the story by Maria Belon. Producers are Belen Atienza, Alvaro Augustin, Enrique Lopez-Lavigne and Ghislan Barrois. - (c) Summit Entertainment   Watch Trailer   Film Clip

Miko Hughes was born on the 22 February 1986, in Apple Valley, California, USA of Native American heritage and his name means "Chief" in Chickasaw. He started his acting career in a public service announcement at just 22 months old and followed that up by appearing in his first feature film at 27 months old. Miko was a prolific child actor churning out movies with regularity, such hits as Mercury Rising with Bruce Willis and “Kindergarten Cop” with Arnold Schwarzenegger. In total to date he has appeared in over 20 films including the soon to be released “A City of Shoulders and Noses” (2013), as you see Miko never stopped but simply slowed down as he is still very much involved in film. Miko’s talents really shone through in 1998’s “Mercury Rising” opposite Willis; here he plays ‘Simon Lynch’ a nine-year old autistic savant who is targeted fir death by Shadowy elements in the NSA when he is able to decipher a top secret code. Willis plays the cop who protects him from danger in this exciting action flick. Four year earlier he played Dylan in the creepy horror flick “New Nightmare” and at the start of his career he was ‘Cage Creed’ in the Stephen King penned “Pet Sematary”, one of the creepiest kids you will ever see in film. He also appeared in numerous TV series and was a regular as ‘Aaron Bailey’ on “Full House.” As mentioned Miko never really stopped acting but as one of the most popular kid stars when he was listed here on teen stars online I had to look back at this talented child star who is doing just fine as an adult. Keep up with what Hughes is up to via his twitter account @MikoHughes.     Miko Hughes all grown up.
