Today, 1 in 6 American teenagers has permanent hearing loss due to high-volume sounds. Sporting events, concerts, headphones, and hairdryers can damage kids' hearing in a matter of seconds. Noise-induced hearing loss is permanent, but preventable. Listen Carefully is Starkey Hearing Foundation's awareness campaign to spread the message about noise-induced hearing loss and prevent a hearing loss epidemic. Starkey Hearing Foundation is an international nonprofit that gives the gift of hearing to those in need around the world. Last year they donated 175,000 hearing aids in nearly 40 countries, including the United States. Listen Carefully is hosting a national video contest inviting U.S. middle school and high school students (ages 13-18) from across the country to submit PSAs to help educate their peers about the issue. One lucky student(s) will win the chance to have Interscope Grammy-Nominated Recording  artist Aloe Blacc perform a private concert at their school in Spring 2015. Disney star Caroline Sunshine, who suffers from hearing loss, and Chris & Kyle Massey want you to participate. Submissions will be accepted until December 31; voting will take place between January 13 and 31, 2015, with the winner announced in February. You can learn more at: Video Contest

Cameron Boyce is the newest Disney sensation that tweens across the country can’t get enough of. Between 2013 and 2014 he even provided the voice of the title character Jake in the original Disney show series Jake And The Never Land Pirates. Not content simply to act and do voice over work he also belongs to a breakdancing crew called “X Mob.” 2008 brought the TV debut of Cameron Boyce in a music video of Panic At The Disco. He was also featured as a younger version of Ryan Ross’s character in That Green Gentleman (Things Have Changed.) By 2009 he was featured in a commercial for Burger King. The commercial was to advertise the kid’s meal toys promoting the Transformers movie Revenge Of The Fallen. 2010 saw Cameron playing the part of the spoiled child of Adam Sandler in Grownups. In 2010 he also made an appearance on a dance show called The Legion of Extraordinary Dancers. The next year he first appeared in a guest starring role on the TV show Good Luck Charlie, airing on the Disney channel as well. The same year he also played a small part in the movie Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer. Fans may also recognize him from 2011’s Shake It Up, a dance show also airing on the Disney channel. It was in September of 2011 that he was cast to play the role of Jesse in Jake And The Never Land Pirates. The character of Jesse was first envisioned as being a Korean boy adopted by the family in the show, but when Cameron Boyce auditioned the producers fell in love with him for the roll of Jake. They recreated the part of Jake so that Cameron would fit the bill. Upcoming for Cameron is the Disney TV movie “Descendants” where he plays Carlos and a film in the early stages by the name of Bare Knuckle Days,  it is still too early to know if the film will actually be completed. The story of Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment’s Minions begins at the dawn of time.  Starting as single-celled yellow organisms, Minions evolve through the ages, perpetually serving the most despicable of masters.  Continuously unsuccessful at keeping these masters—from T. rex to Napoleon—the Minions find themselves without someone to serve and fall into a deep depression. But one Minion named Kevin has a plan, and he—alongside teenage rebel Stuart and lovable little Bob—ventures out into the world to find a new evil boss for his brethren to follow. The trio embarks upon a thrilling journey that ultimately leads them to their next potential master, Scarlet Overkill (Academy Award® winner Sandra Bullock), the world’s first-ever female super-villain.  They travel from frigid Antarctica to 1960s New York City, ending in mod London, where they must face their biggest challenge to date: saving all of Minionkind...from annihilation. Featuring a soundtrack of hit music from the ’60s that still permeates our culture today, Minions is produced by Illumination’s Chris Meledandri and Janet Healy, and is directed by Pierre Coffin and Kyle Balda.  Brian Lynch has written the screenplay for the 3D-CG comedy adventure, and Chris Renaud serves as executive producer of the film.  www.minionnation.net   Watch Minions Trailer   Genre:                            3D-CG comedy adventure                       Cast:                               Sandra Bullock, Jon Hamm Directed by:                    Pierre Coffin & Kyle Balda Writer:                             Brian Lynch Produced by:                    Chris Meledandri, Janet Healy Executive Producer:          Chris Renaud

Academy Award® winner Angelina Jolie directs and produces Unbroken, an epic drama that follows the incredible life of Olympian and war hero Louis “Louie” Zamperini (Jack O’Connell) who, along with two other crewmen, survived in a raft for 47 days after a near-fatal plane crash in WWII—only to be caught by the Japanese Navy and sent to a prisoner-of-war camp. Adapted from Laura Hillenbrand’s (“Seabiscuit: An American Legend”) enormously popular book, Unbroken brings to the big screen Zamperini’s unbelievable and inspiring true story about the resilient power of the human spirit. Starring alongside O’Connell are Domhnall Gleeson and Finn Wittrock as Phil and Mac—the airmen with whom Zamperini endured perilous weeks adrift in the open Pacific—Garrett Hedlund and John Magaro as fellow POWs who find an unexpected camaraderie during their internment, Alex Russell as Zamperini’s brother, Pete, and in his English-language feature debut, Japanese actor Miyavi as the brutal camp guard known only to the men as “The Bird.” The film is produced by Jolie, as well as Clayton Townsend (This Is 40), Matthew Baer (City by the Sea) and Erwin Stoff (The Day the Earth Stood Still). Leading the accomplished behind-the-scenes crew is 11-time Oscar®-nominated cinematographer Roger Deakins (Skyfall). Academy Award® winners Joel and Ethan Coen (No Country for Old Men) rewrote the screenplay from earlier drafts by William Nicholson (Les Misérables) and Richard LaGravenese (HBO’s Behind the Candelabra). To Cameron with love, I was stuck after just those four words so how was I going to send a full letter? Let me back up it was 4 Months before while at a shopping mall in the Los Angeles are I spotted a cute guy with a face full of freckles walking with a shopping bag from a quick shopping trip. I instantly recognized that it was Cameron Boyce who plays Luke on Disney’s Jessie, how could I not I have never missed a show and I am one of Cameron Boyce biggest fans. My heart pounded and I began to sweat as I looked around and saw that he was alone and shockingly no other teens were in the area so he was not spotted by anyone else. I froze in place, he saw me and a faint smile came across his lips as he recognized my discomfort. I willed my feet to move and mouth to speak as I stepped towards him and said “HI are you Cameron Boyce” I watch your show all the time I am a big fan. He said, “Oh thanks for watching it is fans like you that I really enjoy what I am doing,” Hey” he said “I have sometime would you like to go for a shake in the patio”? I could not believe what I was hearing and I almost mumbled the words as I accepted his invitation and went shaking with excitement as he ordered two shakes and we went to sit down. To be continued..........................                                                                                      Chapter 1 I was asking with excitement and was sure that I must be dreaming but I was not I was here having a milk shale with Cameron Boyce of Jessie fame and nobody around us seem to notice. “Thanks” I nervously said as he sat the shake down in front of me. “So, what is your fav episode of Jessie do you have one”, he said. “Well I really liked the episode when you guys combined with the cast of Good Luck Charlie” I managed to get out nervously. He seemed to sense my nervousness and laughed a little and told me how much fun they had doing that episode and how much fun the cast of both shows had. I sipped nervously at the shake through my straw looking for something to talk about but I simply couldn’t find the words. “So do you live here in L.A” Cameron said. "No I am on vacation here with my family and we are going back to Portland, Oregon in two days." We spend the best part of the next forty-five minutes talking about the movies he had made and about the rest of the cast of Jessie laughing as I had relaxed quite a bit as he really made me felt at ease with his friendly and outgoing manner. He finally said to me that he will have to be leaving but he really had fun as it was a relief to spend some time quietly without a lot of fans noticing and coming for photos and autographs. I wondered if this meant he liked me or was he speaking in general, I felt anger deep inside that I will soon have to leave and a voice in my head kept telling me ask him for his private email or cell, another more sensible voice said to me look do you seriously think he is going to give that 411 to you girl. Lol, you are so silly just enjoy this great luck you just had he will never see you or think of you after he leaves here. I can’t let this opportunity pass me by, he seemed to have a really genuine time relaxing here in the almost an hour we spent together. I tried to convince myself, that just because he is a famous teen star that doesn’t mean he can’t have a girlfriend that is just your ordinary everyday girl. He is about to leave I have to decide now or never and say the words, but wil I make a fool of myself?...............MORE TO COME.

This look back at some former teen stars featured on Teen Stars Online looks at Khleo Thomas who instantly grabbed the attention of pre-teen and teen girls in 2003 with the release of Disney’s “Holes” where he played the role of Zero. The role made him an instant fan favorite and catapulted him in to other roles through the 2000’s and into a recording career as a Hip hop, Contemporary R&B artist. Before “Holes” the little known actor had appeared on and episode of Bill Cosby's "Kids Say the Darndest Things" and guest roles on the series “Family Law” and “City Guys” and a small role in the 2002 film “Friday After Next.” Then came “Holes” adapted from Louis Sachar's Holes of the same name and that changed things. Thomas was born in Anchorage, Alaska, the son of an army officer who at the time was stationed in Alaska. His mother is a Jewish immigrant from Morocco and his father is African-American Khleo lived in Germany with the family returning to the United States when he was four. Looking back to the days when this site was still going and there was no other sites that really featured young stars and with a Khleo website and a forum the young fans came by the thousands and lifted the forum on Delphi at that time to number two on the entire system and that was not an easy feat. After “Holes” he landed a role in the film “Baadasssss!” Later that same year and was followed up by a guest spot on the series “E.R”, the TV movie “Going to the Mat: and the feature film remake “Walking Tall.” The next year his fame continued with roles in the film “Roll Bounce,” “Dirty” and the series such as “The Bernie Mac Show.” His recording career stemmed from the film Holes and the song “Dig It” which garnered some popularity in the music field. Things took off after he became associated with Bow Wow and his LBW label; he also became associated with Soulja Boy's label SODMG Entertainment. Khleo’s recording career continues to this day kicking off in 2010 with his debut mixtape The World Is a Cartoon it had over 100,000 downloads. He is currently working on his debut album Just a Sample which will be released sometime in 2014. He continues his acting with recent roles in “Boogie Town” (2012) the series “Bones” (2013) and the expected 2014 or 2015 film “Victor.” Retro Khleo Gallery
