Mini-Biography

Freddie Highmore was born on June 9, 1992 and has emerged as one of the film industry's most respected and sought-after young actors. He won the Empire Award for most promising newcomer for his role in Finding Neverland his performance in that film also brought him two Screen Actors Guild Nominations, one for best supporting actor and another for the ensemble cast. In addition he won the first of two consecutive Critics' Choice Awards as best Young actor the following year he won for Charlie and the Chocolate factory.

He made his feature film debut at the age of seven in Women Talking Dirty, with Helena Bonham Carter. He then appeared in a number of longform television projects, including the BBC's Happy Birthday Shakespeare and TNT's The Mist of Avalon.

His other film credits includes playing (Raoul) in the film Two Brothers and in the mini-series I Saw You, and Jack and the Beanstalk: The Real Story. Other theatrical roles includes Five Children and It. For 2006 he appeared in A Good Year and Arthur and the Invisibles and for 2007 August Rush and for 2008 he will star in The Spiderwick Chronicles and Eddie Dickens and the Awful End.
