It is not so much if the movie is R or not that they put the trailer it is the content in the trailer some R movies have a green Band trailer and you see this site will use those.
The "IT" trailer is perfectly ok for here and plus I think they always try to put movies that feature stars that are profiled here and in "IT" we have Nicholas Hamilton and Finn Wolfhard I can think of right off the top.
This is my opinion I dont know it is fact.
