Another Disney star has landed their very own show.

Cameron Boyce, who currently stars in Disney Channel’s hit “Jessie” and will also appear in the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie, “Descendants,” will headline Disney XD‘s new live-action comedy, “Gamer’s Guide to Pretty Much Everything.”

“Gamer’s Guide,” which was greenlit Wednesday, follows a professional teenage video gamer, Conor (Boyce), who is forced to go to high school for the first time, after an injury causes him to step away from the pro-gaming circuit. To cope with his new lifestyle, he focuses on friendships and visualizes life as a video game.

“With the popularity of video games and electronic sports, we’re thrilled to give our audience a new series that spotlights one of their biggest passions and features fan-favorite star Cameron Boyce,” Adam Bonnett, executive vice president, original programming, Disney Channels Worldwide said. “We are bringing the video game universe to life and giving our popular multi-camera series a fresh, new twist by integrating gaming visual effects into each episode.”

Murray Rundus (“Dear Eleanor”), Felix Avitia (“I Didn’t Do It”) and Sophie Reynolds round out the cast, as Conor’s friends.

“Gamer’s Guide” was created by Devin Bunje and Nick Stanton (“Zeke & Luther,” “Turbo Fast”) who also serve as executive producers with showrunner Jim O’Doherty (“Grounded for Life,” “3rd Rock from the Sun,” “Kickin’ It”).

The comedy will begin production in Los Angeles in spring, and is slated to premiere this summer.
