Mini-Biography
Marc Donato was born on the 2nd of March 1989, in Toronto Canada, he started acting at age 4 and made his acting debut in a Fleecy commercial. Marc was nominated for a Daytime Emmy for an outstanding performance in a Childrens special for his role in Locked In Silence.
Marc is a prolific actor appearing in many made for tv films and tv guest starring roles. He has won two Young Artist Awards Best Performance in a TV Movie or Pilot - Young Actor Age Ten or Under for: Locked in Silence and Best Performance in a TV Movie/Pilot/Made for Video - Young Ensemble for: The Sweetest Gift. He has been nominated several times including for 2003 for his role in White Oleander.
He has worked on numerous animations,inc "Animal Shelf" "Red Wall" "Rescue Heroes" "Franklin the Turtle" "Tales of the Crypt keeper 111 and "Sailor Moon". His most recent made for tv movie was The Dangerous Child for which he received a Young Artist Award Nomination.
Marc also played "Pete Carlton" in The Blue Butterfly, a dramatic adventure about courage, redemption and love being filmed in the rain forests of Costa Rica, and in Montreal, it also stars William Hurt.
More recent he is now appearing in Degrassi: The Next Generation as a recurring character "Derek" a cool basketball jock. He has filmed five episodes so far. He has also done the voice over in Pom Poko the Disney animation cartoon. Mark also plays 'Ethan' in the series The Future Is Wild to add to his extensive film and television credits.
