Mini-Biography
Nicholas Hoult was born on the 7th of December 1989, in Wokingham, Berkshire, England, he trained at the Sylvia Young Theatre School in London and although About a Boy marks his first leading role in a feature film, he has worked since he was eight in films, television and theatre. He received nominations for a BFCA for Best Young Actor for his role in About a Boy and a Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a Feature Film - Leading Young Actor.
He made his film debut as Bobby in the feature Intimate Relations, and his small screen credits include for the BBC Silent Witness, Mr.White Goes to Westminister, World of Pub, Waking the Dead, Murder in Mind, Holby City, Doctors and Casualty and for the ITV, The Bill, Ruth Rendall's Fallen Curtain and The Caucasian Chalk Circle. He has also appeared with the English National Opera at the London Coliseum, firstly in their production of The Nutcracker and more recently in Swan Lake.
He also can be seen in the U.K tv series title Star he plays Bradley Fisher a 13 year old child star who trys to live an average life despite being one of the biggest stars in Hollywood, it airs Thursdays on ITV in the U.K. He has also guested on Keen Eddie in a March 2004 episode playing "Edward Mills" in episode: "Who Wants to Be in a Club That Would Have Me as a Member?.
Nicholas played the role of 'Mike" the son of Nicholas Cage in The Weather Man other film roles includes Kidulthood as Blake and Wah-Wah as Ralph Compton. Some more recent work for Nicholas includes the series Skins and the television movie Coming Down the Mountain.
