Roman Griffin Davis is a young British actor who was born in London but holds both French and British nationality, he lives with his parents and twin brothers in East Sussex. Roman started acting auditions at the age of nine and landed his first acting role in the Taika Waititi satire “Jojo Rabbit (2019).

The talented youngster hails from a show biz family, his Grandfather was cinematographer Michael J. Davis, his father is cinematographer Ben Davis and his mother is writer-director Camille Griffin. His younger brothers Gilby Griffin Davis and Hardy Griffin Davis play the Nazi clones in Jojo Rabbit.

 Jojo Rabbit is a World War II satire that follows a lonely German boy (Roman Griffin Davis) whose world is turned upside down when he discovers his single mother (Scarlett Johansson) is hiding a young Jewish girl (Thomasin McKenzie) in their attic. Aided only by his idiotic imaginary friend, Adolf Hitler (Taika Waititi), Jojo must confront his blind nationalistic views.

Jojo Rabbit took home the prestigious People’s Choice award at the 44th Toronto International Film Festival. This is an award that is considered a good an early look at a future best picture Oscar nomination.

With his performance in Jojo Rabbit lets hope that this is the launch of a successful career for young Davis.
