Rowan Blanchard is a teen actress who was born on October 14, 2001 in Los Angeles, California, she is known for her role of Riley Matthews on Disney "Girl Meets World." Rowan is the oldest of three children and comes from a diverse background with Middle Eastern, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian and English. Her mother is of Portuguese, German and English, ancestry.
Blanchard started acting when she was five years old and in 2010 landed roles as Mona’s daughter in "The Back-up Plan" and as a main cast member in the Disney Junior Original Series "Dance-A-Lot Robot" as Caitlin. The next year she played Raquel Pacheco in the TV movie "little in Common" (2011) and as Rebecca Wilson in the feature "Spy Kids: All the Time in the World in 4D."
After a few years she landed her signature role as Riley Matthews in Disney’s "Girl Meets World" (2014) and has continued to play it for over eighty episodes and counting. In between she has appeared on the series "Best Friends Whenever" as her Girl Meets World character and appeared in the TV movie "Invisible Sister," both in 2015. Rowan has been cast in "A World Away" which is in post-production; it will also star her sister Carmen and brother Shane. The plot is about six kids who take a trip to the Grand Canyon, but instead find themselves in a whole other world.
