Thomas Horn
Thomas Horn has gone from being a Jeopardy! kid’s week champion to a lead role in
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close playing the son of Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock.
The San Francisco born Horn was discovered during the kid’s week Jeopardy! Competition
and on his first day of eight grade received a call eighth grade; his parents
received a call from a casting agent asking if their son wanted to audition for
the role of Oskar.
The film is based on the Jonathan Safran Foer novel, the story follows multi-talented
nine-year-old Oskar Schell (Horn) whose father died in the 9/11 attacks. Given a
mysterious key by his father before he died, Oskar now wanders New York City in
search of the lock it will open.
Horn is fluent in English and Croatian, has studied Spanish and is currently learning
Mandarin and is also an avid reader of novels, as well as other reading material.
