t seems these past three years, there's always at least one film generating a lot of Oscar buzz that has a young actor in a lead role or major supporting role. Two years ago it was Jojo Rabbit with Roman Griffin Davis as the lead. Last year, there was Minari with Alan Kim in the lead supporting role and News Of The World with Helena Zengel playing opposite Tom Hanks.
This year, it's the Kenneth Branagh-directed Belfast. This tells the story of family life during a time of political turmoil as seen through the eyes of a child. The lead actor here is Jude Hill. Not too much is known about him, but I expect we'll learn more about him in the months to come. Here's the link to the trailer:
