Coming in April to Netflix is season one of the remake of the classic 1960’s series Lost in Space. The original show is loved by many and some I have read around the net are hating this remake.
The original show which I have on DVD has a campy comedy feel to it and I am wondering if this version will try to be more dramatic and played straight.
All the original characters and who they were played by are loved by LIS fans and three central ones are the boy Will Robinson which was played by Billy Mumy and in this version Max Jenkins, Dr. Smith played by Jonathan Harris and in the remake they have made Dr. Smith female and played by Parker Posey, the other was the youngest daughter Penny Robinson played by Angela Cartwright and in this version Mina Sundwall.
I wonder how many of you have even heard of or seen the original series based on our ages, maybe you might have seen the 1998 movie version, there was also a pilot in 2004 that was not picked up titled The Robinsons: Lost in Space where Ryan Malgarini was Will Robinson.
