Like I said just another dull, generic run of the mill B Thriller, a good idea poorly executed with the usual cheap scare tactics, loud noises, and fast camera cutaways. Many people on IMDB say how scary this muddled mess is, they have no concept of a scary movie, I guess loud noises and fast camera movements is their idea of scares.

They need to try watching something like the superb The Others from 2001 or go farther back for 1968's Rosemary Baby or 1981's Ghost Story but to audiences like that these would be boring, a bit too cerebral for them I guess.

The modern dumb down audiences is a boost to Hollywood who will keep producing this cookie-cutter rubbish for the not too demanding masses and continue to rake in the profits, movies like this should be viewed on Kodi gratis.

Dude, typical Wincott with a few clicks on a keyboard he thrashes, Hollywood, moviegoers and all who had a hand in Brightburn and topped it off by suggesting people use Kodi and do not pay to go to movies. LOL well, dude Brightburn 2 is in the works and likely to be followed by 3, 4, 5, 6.....because that is Hollywood who loves a sequel and as he is a kid any growth by the actor can simply be Brandon is also growing.

A bit harsh, I mean it is not going to win any awards but it is 90 minutes of pure escapism if you ignore the plot holes and absurdities, I do think it is ridiculous they seem poised to turn this into a franchise.

That is a fair assessment of Brightburn in my opinion.
