  The top scary flicks of 80's had to be Halloween, FRiday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street.
  Oh yea they also had Sleepaway Camp and tons more.

  I mostly agree with the list, we all know the 80's was the haven for slasher films like the 50's was for westerns.

  I never see why people find slashers as scary, some mad bloke running amok with a knife is not scary. I prefer supernatural things like The Exorcist, Evil Dead etc.
  Friday the 13th is not scary, scary I guess if he was chasing you through the forest but not watching it.

  I have been checking on this and wow the 1980's like it was a time for horror movies and yes mostly these slashers that took off with FRiday the 13th that came out right in 1980 I think.
  That was a decade of horror for sure.

  I love to sneak these movies and watch, don't worry I wont be a maniac or anything. lol
  
  One awesome one is Alone in the dark that is from 1982, check it out it is awesome lots of good slashing.
