S02E04 - The Painful Eagerness of Unfed Hope

  Episode 4 of season 2 titled The Painful Eagerness of Unfed Hope finds Anne all excited about love and romance and meanwhiles Diana's home life is upside down due to ger dads depression over getting ripped off in the gold caper. The family has to work to get back to happy times as everyone is under stress.

  
  

  Anns in her preoccupation with love and romance decides to be a matchmaker and write to an old love interest who wrote to Matthew, Anne really is too extra if you ask me. Well as expected Matthew finds out and is not too happy also the entire episode she tries to intercept the postman looking for a reply from Gilbert and also to get the replies to Matthew before he does.

  
  

  Meanwhile back in Trinidad Gilbert of all things helps a woman deliver a breached baby, yes that is really believable. *rolls eyes*

  
  

  I mean come on where in Gilbert's background you can believe he can assist in the birth of a breached baby? realism, please.

  
  

  I did not like this episode, I mean it was well done and well acted as all of Anne is but so far 4 episodes into this season I do not agree with those who claim this season is better than one, I loved season one  but I only like season 2 so far.

  I am stuck also watching it only on Sundays and cant binge it but I agree so far it definitely doesn't have the feel of season 1 which was much lighter. These first 4 episodes are very good don't get me wrong but it has a more serious tone.
  The first 4 episodes are not as focused on the kids except for Anne which she is the title character we all see a lot of Diana and Jerry and course Gilbert off on his ship and in Trinidad, and a bit of the new boy who I think is LGBTQ.
  
  I think we have a long way to go but from what I heard it will be even more serious based on some of the topics I heard will be dealt with, oh well I still love it but more of Christian and the others, please.

  LOL, I agree it is kind of unbelievable that a person his age with zero experience could do that, most guys his age would just freeze and freak out. I think they are steering that his future is a doctor or something but it was a good episode.

  LOL T.OGirl I know you are upset cause you only saw Christian once, well you have now commented on five yet he is there and in all the rest, you will love the rest of the season trust me.

  Anne With an E i is one of Netflix's finest shows, it is well produced, filmed and acted with a neat new telling of the Anne story, one of my favorite shows.
