Let me start by saying I love the show and so far this season it is excellent but what I do hate is the way they have Zach this season, wtf I mean he is played as an angry lil prick that you want to just give a slap to. This is not against Max Charles a good actor but why the change in Zach??

Yes so true, I miss ben Hyland as Zach, I like Max it is the writers they changed him into a jerk.

Max is awesome on The Strain, obviously he acts how the director want, I sure hope he is ok when it starts back and dont get turn to one of those MONSTERS.

The show rocks, I dn't care if they change kids makes no diff to me.

I think he did a great job, people are saying oh we dont like Zach after season one he is a jerk,  people that is how the script and the director wanted him played and Max played him the way they wanted. He was excellent so stop hating.

@Walton, you said it pefectly because some fans were mad at Max when they should have been upset at how Zach was written, this is how they wanted the character played. I agree some fans of Ben Hyland were also upset that he was repalced by Max.

As the season wore on I see why he was needed to play a more darker and sinister type, unlikable kid, I am not saying that Ben Hyland might not have been able to do it but Max did it very well.

I agree I liked Ben Hyland in season one he was a likable kid, I hated Zach after but that was how the show people wanted him played and max Charles did a ogod job.
