Charlie Shotwell was very good as Eli but the movie itself was actually run of the mill and ordinary, actually mediocre and the conclusion was very unsatisfying. However, for free on Netflix where it belongs, it is good for one viewing this is not a big-screen movie.

@JediKnight, that was a precise review because "Eli" is just the kind of schlock that Netflix churns out on a regular basis for it's paying customers who in the majority lap it up and proclaim how awesome middling chaff like "Eli" is.

The film started out ok and had a good premise but then just sunk into silliness, I do agree the boy's performance was fine with what he had to work with.

I liked it, was very creepy to me, I was scared and also Charlie Shotwell was excellent as Eli.

Charlie Shotwell is so cute it distracted me from how good the movie is. :P

He is so cute, I thought "Eli" was so frigging freaky.

I love this movie, did not know about Charlie Shotwell but was crushing after, lol so I went and watched Troopp Zero gladly also Netflix and then watched Captain Fantastic.

Eli was a freaky movie with a nice plot twist, Charlie Showell is so darn cute.

I have watched it 3 times on Netflix, a pretty freaky movie and the end is kind of weird though.

I did rather like it and I am bloody hard to please, I however did not particularly like the twat ending I thought it ruined the movie.

I liked it but I did not like the ending it was sort of weak.
