Christian Martyn is a Canadian teen actor (b February 23, 2000) who began acting professionally at the age of 8 years old after winning the Child Actor of the Year Award at iPOP in Los Angeles in January 2009. He has starred in many feature films with the likes of Ray Liotta, Christopher Lloyd (Snowmen), Malcolm MacDowell (Home Alone: The Holiday Heist), Brendan Fraser (Breakout), Billy Baldwin (Be My Valentine), Rob Lowe (Too Late to Say Goodbye) and Scott Speedman (Edwin Boyd: Citizen Gangster), just to name a few.
He has also recorded several voice roles for animated television series (Franklin & Friends, Monster Math Squad), radio commercials and guest voice role appearances. He competes locally in music festivals as a singer and has won a scholarship at the Burlington Music Festival.
Christian also appeared in the Hallmark movie "Christmas Parade!" which was released in time for Christmas 2014. He also received two nominations in the first ever Joey Awards which will be awarded annually to young Canadian performers. He has been nominated in the category Young Actor age 10-19 in a Feature Film Leading Role for "Breakout" and Young Actor in a Made for Television/Straight to Video Feature Principal or Supporting Role for his role in "Be My Valentine."
Christian also landed the recurring role of Billy Andrews in the new CBC/Netflix tv series "Anne" (2017), based on the book Anne of Green Gables. The show was officially renewed for a second season in August 2017. Martyn will also be seen in the new Netflix series "Northern Rescue" which is currently filming he will play the role of Jason. Some other works include voice work for the video game Shuyan Saga and work on the series "Top Wing."
He is also a drummer and plays in his school's jazz band. Christian is working towards his black belt in karate and has participated in most sports, including football, soccer, water sports, snowboarding, surfing, swimming, archery, and fencing.
