Madison Pettis was born in Arlington, Texas, July 22, 1998, to Steven and Michelle Pettis. Her father is African-American and her mother is of Irish, French and Italian descent. She leaped to fame when she played 'Peyton Kelley' in The Game Plan (2007) which also starred Dwayne Johnson, this role catapulted Pettis into many roles to follow on TV and in feature films.

Other features included voice work in "Horton Hears a Who!" (2008) and roles in "Seven Pounds" (2008), Free Style (2008) and voice work on That's What I Am (2011). She also had several direct to video roles including Mostly Ghostly (2008) among others. She also plays Tara in the movie "Mostly Ghostly: Have You Met My Ghoulfriend" (2014).

Television is where Madison has really stood out with roles in several series and guest appearances on others. Before "The Game Plan" she guest-starred on the series "Jericho" and "Barney & Friends" both in 2006, followed by guest stints on Hannah Montana and "The 4400" in 2007. She then landed a series regular role as 'Sophie Martinez' on Disney’s Cory in the House followed by the TV movie "A Muppets Christmas: Letters to Santa." 

Madison continued her TV work with guest work on "Special Agent Oso" and was the voice of 'Adyson' on "Phineas and Ferb" for two seasons. The year 2011 roles included "R.L. Stine's The Haunting Hour" for a guest starring role, followed by the series "Jake and the Never Land Pirates" (2011-2012) and recurring roles on Disney’s XD's top-rated show Lab Rats (2012) as well as playing 'Allie' on Life with Boys. Other episodic roles include roles on "Parenthood" a recurring role as Daria on "The Fosters" (2015) and the voice of Zuri on "The Lion Guard" (2016), she also was the voice of Zuri on the TV movie The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar. She also played Frankie in the TV movie "Late Bloomer."  Other TV roles were the series "Five Points" as Tosh and guest roles on Law & Order: Special Victims UnitSofia the cat (2018), "Fancy Nancy" (2018).

Pettis also appeared in the 2015 film "Do You Believe" as Maggie, she turned 20 years old on July 22, 2018.
