Yes it is official I am sure you can call it a box office bomb, when something cost over 200 million to produce and can only pull in about 30 something million over the three day memorial weekend then friends that is box office failure. Perhaps the global warming scare message has turned off viewers, that being said I saw the film and did not mind it at all, awesome special effects and some terrific acting from that young Raffey Cassidy.
A paltry number even in the overseas box office it was disappointing, when you look at past memorial day takes like the $139,802,190 for “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End” and the $126,917,373 bones for “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” it is pocket change.
